Thank You Pop-up Blocker

So, I don't know if Macs have pop-up/ad blocker already installed, but I don't really get them on my computer with Safari as it is, and have never added either of those types of programs to my computer.  However, my Mac is fairly new (and by fairly, I mean that I've only had it for about a month), but when I had my old PC computer, I had pop-up and ad blocker on there, and they were amazing.

I used my roommates computer to test all of this out again since, like I said, I don't really get ads or pop-ups on my Mac, but I love having to not fight with ads and pop-ups.  When I was searching around the web I was getting just pop-ups from every which way, and some sites would give me several at a time.  I had one website where every time I would close an ad, another one would pop-up.  Definitely the most annoying thing to have when you are simply trying to look at a book review (yes, I was that nerd looking up book reviews while testing the pop-up blockers).

I will say, that not all ads are blocked from my Mac now, I do get some of the banners at the top of webpages and little advertisements on the side of my viewing window, but I've learned to ignore those.  Also, those don't bother me, it's the ones that pop-up in front of every window and pop-up new ads when you close one.  That's what would make me hate searching the internet.
